Swans (no not black swans!).

A woman living in Monticello, MN, on the Mississippi, has been feeding the Trumpeter Swans and since she started they have been wintering here. She has been feeding them for almost 20yrs now. We stopped there to check it out.

On this day in January it was single digit temps so we did not stay long. Once you pull up to this tiny park you can hear the swan talking to each other, kind of a honk noise, but not as irritating as a goose.

Seems some ducks and geese like what the swans are eating as well.

It was so cold and many of them were sleeping on snow and with their heads in the water (no not dead ones!) It was a great sight.
